Celebrating three years

Today is our three year anniversary. It's hard to believe how much time has gone by, how much has changed and how much is the same.

My love for Denny is stronger today than it has ever been and I know it will continue to grow.

Before I met him, I would have never considered hunting, but within two years of our marriage I had not only hunted, but also shot my first buck. It's safe to say my love for hunting will never equal-or come remotely close to his, but I still love to share in his passion.

My favorite week during the summer is when we go camping in northern Michigan-another tradition Denny has shared with me. I can't get enough of fishing, sitting around the camp fire, visiting the many beautiful lakes, seeing the amazing sunsets, etc.

Those are just a few examples of how our lives have meshed.

Denny, thank you for helping me see the beauty in simple, everyday things. Thank you for loving me when I'm at my worst. Thank you for helping over the many bumps life has thrown our way. Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for making me feel special. Thank you for sharing your entire life with me.

I want my kitchen back

So apparently tomatoes did really well this year because they don't need a lot of rain. No one really needed to tell us that. For the past several weeks, our kitchen counters have been covered with produce--mostly tomatoes--from our garden. We are trying to can as much as possible so we can regain our counter space and the peace of mind that comes with some normalcy in the kitchen :).
